Rosswood Pre-school
in 2024
In 2024 at Rosswood Pre-School we expanded our program to offer 15 hours of 3yo and 4yo free sessional kindergarten.
There is national and international evidence that 15 hours of quality kindergarten program with a qualified teacher, in a high quality early childhood program lays the foundation for success at school, with attendance for more than one year strongly linked to more positive results.
2024 and 2025 Timetable
In 2024 our kindergarten we have 2 mixed age kindergarten groups. They have been named using the local traditional language. The names have been approved for our use by a Traditional Owner.
‘Menyan’ means ‘Moon’ in Wurundjeri and is pronounced /Meenyan/ and Ngamae means ‘Sun’ and is pronounced /nyamae/.
Menyan Group – Moon
15 hours per week in 2, 7.5 hour sessions.
Ngamae Group – Sun
15 hours per week in 3, 5 hour sessions.
