Rosswood Pre-School we offer 15 hours of 3yo and 4yo free sessional kindergarten.
There is national and international evidence that 15 hours of quality kindergarten program with a qualified teacher, in a high quality early childhood program lays the foundation for success at school, with attendance for more than one year strongly linked to more positive results.
Timetable
Our kindergarten program offers 2 mixed age kindergarten groups. They have been named using the local traditional language. The names have been approved for our use by a Traditional Owner.
‘Menyan’ means ‘Moon’ in Wurundjeri and is pronounced /Meenyan/ and Ngamae means ‘Sun’ and is pronounced /nyamae/.
Menyan Group – Moon
15 hours per week in 2, 7.5 hour sessions.
Ngamae Group – Sun
15 hours per week in 3, 5 hour sessions.
